Spring Fling: Earth Day at Knox

Saturday, May 15 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

River Green Outreach is celebrating National Volunteer Week and Earth Day with a “Spring Fling” at Knox Elementary to plant flowers for the front entrance.

Great volunteer project for individuals, groups, kids, families, and seniors! There will also be a special activity for kids 4 – 10.

Volunteer Instructions

o    Note: no access to restrooms at the school 
      (closest restrooms locacted at central park pavillion)
o    Bring gardening gloves (recommended), gardening tools (optional)
o    Wear old clothing, sunscreen
o    Bring baby wipes and/or paper towel (for cleaning hands and children)
o    Parents/guardians are responsible for small children




National Volunteer Week is a call to action for Americans to volunteer and to inspire by example. Since President Nixon created this event in 1974, millions of Americans volunteer and demonstrate the positive community impact that engaged individuals, businesses and organizations create year round.
